The Golden Eagle is a lovely country pub in Ashley Green near Chesham in Bucks, serving quality, freshly cooked food and offering an excellent selection of real ales.

Lovely country pub with great value dining, situated between Chesham in Bucks and Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire.

This lovely Grade 2 listed building, dating back to 1856, has just been refurbished inside and out to make a delightful eatery and watering hole with the benefit of a lovely sunny garden, sitting right next to a footpath that leads directly to the surrounding Chilterns countryside - the perfect place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat. You can expect the warmest of welcomes from the new proprieters, Helen and Ross.

Eating and Drinking. The Golden Eagle offers excellent food, freshly prepared and sourced locally wherever possible. There are separate Lunch Time and Evening menus with imaginative and varied dishes all at agreeable prices. 

Lunchtime menus can include dishes like 'Fyfe butchers thick cut ham, double egg and chips' for £7.95 or 'Three egg omelete with a choice of fillings served with chips and peas or salad' for £7.95. Other English pub classics include 'Beer battered Cod with chunky seasoned chips, garden peas, homemade tartare sauce and a lemon wedge' for £10.95.

Lunch Time Menu

Evening menus can include 'Calves liver and bacon with pea mash and sage and onion gravy' for £12.95, or 'Pork and Leek sausages served with wholegrain mustard mash and red onion gravy' for £9.95. Or try the lovely vegetarian 'Bean and tomato stew with garlic bread, griddled vegetables and basil oil' for £7.95.

Evening Menu

There are also Daily Specials and a selection of sandwiches and paninis all served with lattice fries and salad.

There is a large, pleasant, child-friendly garden, plenty of comfortable seating areas and ample parking.
